PRE-K OPENINGS

Applications are still being accepted.  Class size is limited to 18.  Applicants must have been four years old by August 15, 2008 to attend.  School day runs from 8:00 am - 2:40 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00 an - 2:00 pm on Fridays.  For more information call the school office.

SENIOR GRADUATION CEREMONIES

Consecration Service will be in the Avon Park Church SDA Church at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 15.  The speaker will be Pastor Kameron DeVasher

Graduation will be in the Avon Park SDA Church at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 18.  Jeannette Zesch will be delivering the graduation address.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

VBS for children 4 years old through Sixth Grade is scheduled for the week of July 14 in the WMA Gym.  To register online - Click here.

VBS needs student assistants.  If  are 13 years or older, you may sign up at the school office.    Students in Grades 9-12 can earn community service hours required for graduation by assisting with VBS.

EARN MONEY FOR WMA WHILE EATING PIZZA!

Hungry Howies Pizza of Avon Park will donate to WMA 5% of their net sales from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm on the second Monday of each month.  Take advantage of this opportunity to stay out of the kitchen and donate money to WMA.  Remember the SECOND MONDAY of each month is PIZZA NIGHT!

END OF YEAR ANNOUNCEMENTS

Accounts:  Student accounts must be cleared (library fines, after school care, etc.) in order for exams to be taken.  Grades 7-10 Exams begin on Tuesday, May 20.  Students with delinquent accounts will not be permitted to take final exams, participate in any end-of-school activities or receive their report cards unless cleared by the Administrative Office.

Textbook Returns:  Grades 7-12 textbooks must be returned by Wednesday, May 21 or total book cost will be applied to the student's account.

Library Books:  All library books are due NO LATER than Wednesday, May 14.  Check with your child's homeroom teacher or Miss Ashlee in the library if you are unsure about outstanding books or fines.

IMPORTANT SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT!

Parents, please do not use the area in back of the Music Building or in front of the Gym as a drop-off or pick-up area.  Please drop off your child in the standard drop-off area.   Thanks.

SCHOOL  UNIFORM INFORMATION AND UPDATES:

 All school dress must be purchased from the Dennis Uniform Company or Great Atlantic & Pacific Tee Shirt Company in Sebring.  See Dress Code page.  

SHIRTS:  Short or long sleeved WMA uniform polo (Grades Pre-K -  6th Grade & 12th Grade)  and oxford shirts ONLY (all grades).

SHOES:  No open-toed or backless shoes, sandals or slip-ons.  Socks must be worn with all shoes.  NO "heelies" on campus.

UNDERGARMENTS:  WMA uniform oxford or polo shirts MUST be worn under uniform jackets or sweaters.  White tights, knee socks or anklet socks can be worn under skirts - NO SWEATPANTS, LEGGINGS OR CAPRIS ARE PERMITTED.
